Hi Friend
Have you ever noticed that your "Fibro flare" seems to come out of nowhere?
One minute you are managing, and the next, your skin feels sensitive to the touch, your brain fog rolls in, and your joints feel like they are on fire.
For years, many of our patients were told this is "just part of Fibromyalgia." They were told their nerves are simply overactive.
But what if your nerves aren't just "acting up"? What if they are being attacked?
In our clinic, we are seeing a massive connection that standard medicine often overlooks: The Histamine-Pain Cycle.
The Connection: Mast Cells & Your Pain
You likely know Mast Cells as the things that cause allergies (sneezing, hives). But did you know Mast Cells live right next to your nerve endings?
When your Mast Cells are unstable (MCAS), they dump inflammatory chemicals like histamine and cytokines. Because these cells sit on top of your nerves, this "chemical dump" irritates the nerve endings instantly.
The result? It looks, feels, and acts like Fibromyalgia.
The Clues You Might Have This:
Your pain gets worse after high-histamine meals (leftovers, aged cheese, wine).
You have "random" anxiety or heart palpitations along with your pain.
You react to smells, temperature changes, or stress with a physical flare-up.
Your standard blood work is "normal," yet you feel sick.
Why Your Doctor Missed It
Most GPs only look for Tryptase—a marker that is often normal even in people with severe Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. They are looking for shock (anaphylaxis), not chronic inflammation. Urine prostaglandins and histamine are also an essential clue we need to check for.
If you have been treating the pain (Fibro) but ignoring the trigger (Mast Cells), you are fighting the smoke, not the fire.
How We Can Help
At Mend Clinics, we don't just manage symptoms. We act as detectives.
We use advanced functional testing to look for the subtle immune markers and gut dysregulations that standard labs miss. We want to know why your Mast Cells are angry, so we can help you calm the storm.
We are currently accepting new patients for our Detailed Consultation.
In this comprehensive session, we will:
Map out your entire health timeline to find your specific triggers.
Review your "mystery" symptoms through the lens of MCAS/Fibro.
Determine exactly which functional labs are needed to get you answers.
Stay Well
